The project involves a new 9 story mixed use development adjacent to the elevated J/Z Subway and below-grade A/C Subway lines, anchors a prominent corner of Pennsylvania Avenue in the Cypress Hills neighborhood in Brooklyn, NY. The 9 story building accommodates 218 residential units, of which 42 are dedicated to formerly homeless and elderly households. The building includes green roofs, and rooftop trellised PV solar panels. The ground floor level accommodates commercial spaces including a fresh food grocery store.
The building structural system utilizes block and plank construction, over a cast-in-place concrete podium.
