The project involved the development of a new 7 story building at the corner of Manhattan and Meeker Avenues, adjacent to the BQE, in Brooklyn, NY. The 52,000 square foot low-income residential building accommodates 50 affordable units, provides on-site support services, community room, roof terrace, and landscaped rear yard with children’s play area.
The building structure utilizes block and plank construction, supported by a pile foundation system.
