The project consists of a complex of 9 mixed use buildings with over 2 million square feet of usable space for residential, institutional, and retail areas. Buildings along the Western side of the property facing Manhattan are 16 stories tall. Buildings along the Eastern side are to be 23 to 28 stories tall. West side buildings were completed between 2003 and 2009, and involve student residences, faculty residences, institutional spaces, rental apartments, condominiums, and retail. Construction of the 23 story Building # 7, first along the Eastern waterfront, was completed in 2016. Developed by The Hudson Companies in partnership with Related, with Architecture by Handel Architects LLP.
The building structure utilizes block and plank construction, supported by a pile foundation system.
